More Than 1,000 Miami University Students Have Tested Positive For COVID-19
There have now been more than 1,000 Miami University students in Oxford who have tested positive for COVID-19. Students are currently learning remotely and many of the students haven't even moved back in to campus yet. Gregory Crawford, president of Miami University, spoke during one of Gov. Mike DeWine's COVID-19 briefings last week and he said some of those cases are connected to Miami University students who are currently living off-campus.
First and second year students are scheduled to move back to campus on Monday, Sept. 14. The decision was made today to go forward with resuming classes next week. Oxford is located in Butler County, which is currently at a Level 3 public health emergency because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
