Oktoberfest To Go

There were no bands playing the Chicken Dance.  There were no German beers being consumed.  There was, however, great German food.   Orders had to be placed online by Labor Day this year and they could choose to pick up their food on Sept. 10 or Sept. 11.  Those who placed orders had the option to pick their pick-up times in 15 minute increments.  

On Thursday, mom and I went out today and picked up our orders fromOktoberfest Springboro at Springboro United Church of Christ. The people at the church were so nice. I don't take for granted getting to talk to good people anymore. 

The food was fantastic. I had the cheddarwurst, and mom got the cabbage rolls. Green beans were good and I loved the red cabbage and apples. Strudels made for a great desert. We also got Bavarian pretzels, but we were both so full when we ate our dinners that we didn't have room.  We ate them as a snack later.  They were so huge that we had enough left over to have them as a snack again today too.
