COVID-19 Cases, Hospitalizations Rising In Ohio

The COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations for COVID-19 are rising in Ohio.  In his briefing on Nov. 23, Gov. Mike DeWine said there had been more than 11,000 new COVID-19 cases.  He explained that some of those cases are being reported from previous days.

Last week's numbers, which fell in the 7,000 to 8,000 on some days, were low because all the tests from the previous day had not included because some of them had not been verified.  DeWine said during a briefing last week that not all states verify the results, but he said that 90 percent of more ended up being cases.   

DeWine also said yesterday that hospitalizations have gone up and there are now over 4,300 people in the state's hospitals.
