According to Mason City Schools' COVID-19 dashboard, there were five student who were confirmed to be positive for COVID-19 and 157 students quarantined between Sept. 14 and Sept. 18. There were also two staff members that were confirmed to be positive for COVID-19 and one staff member was quarantined during that same time period.
Five of the confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported were Mason High School students. There were no students that were reported to have confirmed cases of COVID-19 in any other building in the district this week.
141 MHS students were quarantined. Five students at Mason Middle School, three students at Mason Intermediate School, one student at Mason Elementary and seven students at Mason Early Childhood Center were also quarantined.
One staff member at Mason Early Childhood Center and one staff member at Mason Intermediate School were reported to have confirmed cases of COVID-19 this week. One staff member at Mason High School was quarantined.
