WARREN COUNTY PARKS, OH -- The Warren County Astronomical Society welcomes everyone interested in learning about the planets, stars and all that’s visible in the night sky.

Our volunteer members operate the Fred Bay Observatory on behalf of the Warren County Parks Department.

The public is invited beginning at 6:30 p.m. during the fall and winter months and 8 p.m. or later during spring and summer months.

We will be open for these monthly events regardless of the weather or viewing conditions.

We will offer public viewing through the 8-inch observatory telescope when possible or offer a virtual sky tour or astronomy presentation indoors.

Follow us on Facebook for schedule details and updates about when the observatory will be open to the public.

The Fred Bay Observatory is open to the public on Saturday evenings around the new moon or first quarter moon each month. It’s also available for special events for community, school and youth groups (depending on the weather). And, a night sky session can be arranged when you rent Hisey Park for your wedding or other special occasion.
