HARVEYSBURG, OH -- The Village of Harveysburg, along with Massie Township, kicked off Warren County's 250th Celebration with a festival and parade last weekend.

"We decided to do our celebration the weekend before the July 4th weekend so we were not competing with other towns," eplained Lucy McCarren, Co-chair of the America 250 Celebration Organizing Committee.

"It's a celebration of heritage, patriotism and community pride," added Kevin Brewer the other Co-chair.

While walking through the quaint village of  a population of less than 600, festival goers were greeted by decorative homes and towns people dressed in patriotic attire.

Included in this historical parade was the Grand Marshal or should we say ... Grand Marshals. Both Lucy McCarren and Kathleen Brewer shared being named the Harveysburg 250th Celebration Grand Marshal as both ladies are not only the longest living town residents, but they will both be turing 100 this year: Lucy in July and Kathleen in September.
