FRANKLIN, OH -- From Detroit with Love. Elmyra “Cherry”King and team are building something special, a place you can go ‘where everyone knows your name’. Throw in good eats and it becomes a great new tavern in the newly renovated downtown Franklin sidewalks and lights.
Cherry brings her more than 16 years in the food and bar business to build her Main Street Tavern vision at 331 South Main Street. Starting with a solid menu foundation, featuring the Buffalo Wings and hot dogs, or is it just DAWGS? The menu includes: Motor City Detroit Dawg, the Memphis Dawg, the Chicago Dawg, and the Italian Dawg. Not only that, but grill favorites like Burgers and Brats. And don’t forget the BBQ/Bacon Pizza or the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Then there’s the Chicken Caesar salad, MST Salad and so much more.
“We started working on the Tavern in October and we did our soft opening on June first.” Elmyra’s sister opened Mz’s Jade’s Restaurant in Sharonville with great success, which was an inspiration for MST in Franklin. She knew the town well as a longtime resident. Her two daughters go to school in Franklin, while her son has graduated.
“I knew Franklin needed a convenient place to grab a nice affordable lunch and a drink, so we began working on it and here it is.”
The liquor license is in hand, but the beer license is coming soon.
“With a grill and a BBQ smoker out back on our patio we’re ready to party. Our master cook, grill master, and smoker master are anxious to show creative BBQ skills. Our Wings have our unique Rub," she said.
The Rub is so good, you don’t need sauce. The flavors are robust and addicting, you’ll want to revisit the patio often.
