LEBANON, OH -- While our neighboring county of Butler can brag it is home to our Nation's Vice President, will Warren County soon be able to brag it is home to Ohio State's Lt. Governor?
Lebanon resident James Mills is running on the ticket with Don Kissick for Governor as the Libertarian candidate for Lt. Governor on the May 5th ballot.
While the Republican Party and the Democratic Party are the two major political parties in Ohio, the Libertarian Party, back in 2018, was given minor party status by the State of Ohio. (Ohio law requires a political party to receive at least 3 percent of the total vote for its candidate for Governor or President in the most recent regular state election to retain its status as a recognized political party under section 3517.01 of the ORC.)
This Primary Election, which is currently going on and runs until the Official Election Day of May 5th, Warren County voters can ask for either a Republican Ballot, a Democrat Ballot, an Issue Only Ballot and now a Libertarian Ballot.
Mills sat down with the WarrenCountPost.com to explain who he is, what the Libertarian Party is about, and why he is running. To hear what Mills had to say, click the Youtube video below.
