KINGS MILL, OH --  In observance of Veterans Day, Mercy Health – Kings Mills Hospital will host a ceremony recognizing veterans, associates, visitors, and patients who have served our nation. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 11th, from 2 to 3 P.M. at Kings Mills Hospital, at the hospital’s flagpole near the main entrance.

The ceremony will feature a presentation of a U.S. flag brought back from Syria by Dr. Gebhart during his last tour, alongside Dr. Lozada, also an active military member. Together, they will raise the flag in honor and remembrance.

“Honoring those who serve reminds us that freedom is a collective responsibility,” said Dr. Lozada. “As someone who continues to serve, it’s significant to stand beside my colleagues and community in reflection and appreciation.”

A highlight of the ceremony will be the unveiling of an activity cart donated by Blue Star Families, a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting military families through connection and empowerment.

The program includes opening remarks by Liz Mohr, a prayer by Christina Namakydoost, the National Anthem performed by Michael Williams, a former American Idol contestant, and a final blessing by Deacon Mike Cassani. Light refreshments will be served in the main lobby following the service.

Community invitees include Lebanon VFW Auxiliary Post 6069, Mason VFW Post 9622, Blues Star Families Network, Cintas, and the Stolle Center at Countryside YMCA.

The event reflects Kings Mills Hospital’s ongoing commitment to honoring veterans and fostering strong community partnerships.
