Taking the stage from 8-11 pm on Saturday, May 16th, for the first time at Whisperz Speakeasy - The Nite Owls! The Nite Owls have been a fixture on the Dayton club and festival scene for many years. The current lineup has played the house set for the Southwestern Ohio Blues Hall of Fame for nearly a year. Reece Murray is one of the crop of excellent young guitarists on the Southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky scene. He is in high demand as a solo performer, as leader of the Reece Murray Band, and as a guest artist with groups from the Noah Wotherspoon Band to CFG & the Family. David Sherman Burk has fronted blues and jazz groups in the region for the past decade. He is a 2022 winner of the Cincy Blues Challenge and a performer at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2023. Marty Romie and Jim Voudris are mainstays on the Dayton scene. Expect high energy, tasteful blues music from a tight, veteran unit featuring two of the most sought-after vocalists and soloists around.
