Winter is beautiful, especially in small doses. So far this winter has been a bit more than a small dose it seems. If you can view it through your window without having to go outside it is beautiful. But maybe it's not so beautiful if you have to spend time outside with your shovel or snowblower. Over the past few weeks I have taken too many photos of backyard winter scenes to share them all here. But, here are a couple: a winter sunrise, and hoarfrost on last summer's garden plants. We can look back at them in July when we are complaining about the heat and humidity.

Moderate or heavy snow showers, with a high of 33 and low of 15 degrees. Overcast in the morning,
