WARREN COUNTY, OH -- The Lebanon Optimist Club's 3rd Spirits of Optimism event is back. Proceeds from the February 21st Bourbon, Big Band, and Boogie event benefit Family Promise of Warren County and will be held again at the Camp Kern's Schiewietz Assembly Hall. This year's event features bourbon, chocolate, heavy hors d'oeuvres,  live entertainment, bourbon bingo, raffle, and live auction and takes place from 6-9:00pm.

The Lebanon Optimist Club strives to bring out the best and make positive impact in the lives of Warren County children. Our kids face challenges that most of us don't ever think about.  Lebanon Optimists seek out organizations who know where these needs are and fill them. Proceeds of the Spirits of Optimism event go exclusively to Family Promise of Warren County, Ohio.

The mission of Family Promise Warren County (formerly known as Interfaith Hospitality Network) is to assist families experiencing homeless in Warren County, Ohio, to achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response. They envision a county where every family has a home, a livelihood, and a future full of promise.

"People envision Warren County and Lebanon as a mostly affluent community where homelessness and poverty don't exist. Unfortunately housing insecurity faces families everywhere including here," says Lebanon Optimist Club President, Cathy Feinauer. "Family Promise offers these families not just temporary housing, but education and resources to help them create sustainable housing and employment. They offer parenting and life skills education and so much more. We are honored to designate the proceeds from our Spirits of Optimism event to support this very important work, and we are grateful to our sponsors Miami Valley Gaming, Picture This and others who have helped defray the cost of producing the event so that more money can go directly to Family Promise."

Again this year, Tim Knittle of Distilled Living returns as the Kentucky bourbon expert to walk guests through the essences and nuances of different bourbons. Cherry Street Cafe is back to cater the event. This year's event celebrates the 1940s with a USO theme. The Queen City Sisters acapella women's group offers live entertainment in the style of the Andrews sisters. There will be Bourbon Bingo, Raffles, and a Live Auction. Tickets are $80 for a single or $140 per couple.
