COUNTRY BBQ AT THE WOODSHED IN LEBANON

LEBANON, OH -- I cried a few sad tears when the Dickey BBQ restaurant closed in South Lebanon a couple of years ago. But, good news in the meantime, the WOODSHED SMOKEHOUSE AND GRILLE on 107 E Mulberry St., in Lebanon has opened.

If you love old country style BBQ, this IS your place. We finally got to drop by and “meet the folks,” who run WOODSHED and try some of their delicious food this past month. The prices were family friendly, and we enjoyed the pulled pork plate with 2 sides for $15.00, and the burger with 1 side, which is priced at $12.00.

A variety of entrees include ribs, smoked wings, chicken breast and flatbreads. Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce is the available sauce as there is no special house sauce .There is no vegetarian entrée, however, you can do it yourself with the variety of sides which include sweet potato casserole (really yummy), mac and cheese, collard greens, baked beans, and cole slaw.  Fountain drinks and ice tea are available and as is a wide selection of beer.

Unlike many establishments on various nights, the Woodshed hosts live FREE entertainment. Local acoustic country and folk performers entertain. Catering for events and some of the restaurant can be reserved for group events and meetings.

TIPS: 

  • Parking is available on street and in local free Lebanon City lots.
  • The WOODSHED is challenging if you have walking issues with a step into the restaurant and a step into the dining room. There is no marked accessible space for parking in front of the restaurant.
  • The WOODSHED DOES have “bargain day” on Thursdays currently with $8.00 specials. DO check this out.

If you like friendly country hospitality and  the traditional “country cooking," put the WOODSHED SMOKEHOUSE AND GRILLE on your restaurant list to visit.
