WARREN COUNTY, OH -- June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, an annual opportunity to bring greater attention to the more than 7 million Americans currently living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia — a figure expected to nearly double by 2050. In recognition of the month, Seniors Helping Seniors® Warren Clermont in-home care is highlighting how compassionate, nonmedical in-home care can make a meaningful difference for individuals facing memory loss and the loved ones supporting them.

The 2025 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts and Figures report estimates that nearly 12 million Americans provide unpaid care for people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. These caregivers often experience high levels of emotional, physical, and financial stress. Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care helps ease that burden through peer-based support services that allow older adults to remain safe and comfortable at home while giving family caregivers much-needed peace of mind.

“Our mission is to offer dignity, connection and dependable support to seniors — including those living with memory-related conditions,” said Christian Adams, owner of Seniors Helping Seniors® Warren Clermont. “By pairing seniors in need of assistance with compassionate, active older adults, we foster relationships that enrich daily life for everyone involved.”

Services from Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care can be customized to meet each receiver’s needs and may include help with meal preparation, transportation, medication reminders, light housekeeping and companionship, an especially valuable source of comfort for individuals navigating cognitive decline.

“As new treatments continue to emerge and conversations around Alzheimer’s grow, it’s more important than ever that families know they are not alone,” said Namrata Yocom-Jan, president of Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care. “We are honored to support families with personalized care that prioritizes respect, independence and meaningful human connection.”
