LEBANON, OH -- Thinking about seeing a Broadway show soon? In SW Ohio, there ARE choices... depending on your budget ... ability to travel ... as well as, your tolerance for personal safety.
We recently did some “pricing around the area” and came up with the following of our local Broadway venues. This is an independent survey, and granted in some cases, prices may be slightly higher or lower depending on the show etc.
These are ALL PROFESSIONAL theatres. The larger theatres will have larger productions for their venues, with road company actors featured. After reading these actors vitas the ARONOFF AND SCHUSTER shows are comparable to the talent at LA COMEDIA.
Orchestra Tickets are $200 a piece, which totals $400.00 when going as a couple. Plus, don't forget the different taxes and handling fees that are added to the tickets cost. (You can get cheaper seats, which these tickets might cost $200.00 for 2 )
Parking is $20 on up. There is a garage, and other lots are available nearby but security can be scary if met by a band of street kids with no secruity around.
Dinner for two with 2 cocktails will run close to $150.00 plus tip at local small restaurant
DATE NIGHT WITH DINNER TOTAL: Around $575.00 per couple

Orchestra Tickets are $135.00 each with taxes were making it cost $270 for two. In Dayton, the less expensive tickets can start at $45-50. For 2 balcony seats the total with taxes is around $140.00.
Parking: Arts Garage is $15.00 and offers security as it is monitored by tv and a live person. Also security people are in the theatre and on street.
Dinner: There is a Starbucks Café and two local restaurants nearby but need to have reservations, which we did not. (We ended up getting “drive through” dinner for $20.00 and ate at home after the matinee.)
DATE NIGHT TOTAL WITHOUT DINNER: $ 235.00 + Carryout: $255.00

SHOW TICKETS (Comes with dinner): $152 plus tax, tip and 2 cocktails, which cost $18.00, making the date night for two between $190-$200.00 (Without cocktails, the total would be less, of course.)
Parking: Is FREE in a well lit parking lot that sits next to the building.
Security: No issues with outside crowds or problem situations seen. Theatre support staff always available.
DATE NIGHT TOTAL WITH DINNER: $190- $200.
