238 Children Complete Warren County Park District’s 100 Hours Outside Challenge

WARREN COUNTY, OH -- More than 200 local children spent extra time exploring the outdoors this summer as part of the Warren County Park District’s 100 Hours Outside Challenge.

The Park District announced that 238 children successfully completed the challenge, which encouraged participants to spend at least 100 hours outside during the summer and complete at least two Park District challenges.

Prize packages were assembled and are now ready for pickup. Families, who submitted a completed challenge sheet before the Labor Day deadline, were sent an email to the address listed on their submission form. Participants who have not seen the message are encouraged to check their spam or junk email folders.

The Park District thanked a number of local organizations and businesses that donated prizes for this year’s participants, including:

• Blooms & Berries Farm Market’s 
• Fall on the Farm, 
• Friends of Warren County Park District,  
• Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken.
• Mercy Health Kings Mills,
• Texas Roadhouse of Mason, 
• Triple A Pro Services
• Warren County Soil & Water Conservation District, 
• Whitetails Unlimited’s Caesar Creek Chapter,
• Wild Birds Unlimited of West Chester and Springboro, 
• Wren Works Consulting,   and Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken.

Several children also received grand prizes through a drawing held Friday during the Warren County Board of Park Commissioners meeting.

• Henry McG, age 6, won four Dayton Dragons tickets and hats. 
• Noah M, age 7, received two Get Out Ohio passes, 
• Trinton H, age 11, won a kayak trip for four from Loveland Paddlesports.
