LEBANON, OH -- The 2026 Annual Dilgard Open brought together golfers, sponsors, community supporters, and Otterbein SeniorLife partners on September 21 at the Golf Club at Yankee Trace in Centerville, Ohio, grossing more than $181,000 to support Otterbein Hospice.

The annual fundraising golf scramble honors the legacy of former Otterbein CEO Dr. Charles Dilgard, who passed away earlier this year, and his 28 years of service to Otterbein Homes, while also paying tribute to his spouse Sarah Dilgard. Since its founding in 1993, the Dilgard Open has raised more than $1.3 million in support of Otterbein programs and services.

Funds raised through this year’s event will benefit Otterbein Hospice, which provides compassionate, expert care to individuals and families navigating the final chapter of life. In 2025, Otterbein Hospice served more than 500 individuals receiving hospice care and supported more than 1,000 family members across 26 counties in Ohio.

This year’s tournament featured a day full of golf, friendly competition, networking, raffles, prizes, and the return of the popular Hole-in-One Competition. Through the rain on the course, golfers brought plenty of energy, enthusiasm, and good spirits to the tournament, embracing the friendly competition and camaraderie while coming together in support of a meaningful cause.

The 2026 Dilgard Open was made possible through the generous support of its new Presenting Plus Sponsor RHS Technology Group, along with the Presenting Sponsors: Modern Office Methods, Polaris Pharmacy Services, Functional Pathways, Direct Supply, and Gordon Food Service.

Otterbein SeniorLife extends its appreciation to all sponsors, golfers, volunteers, donors, and community partners who contributed to the success of this year’s tournament. Special thanks also go to the staff of The Golf Club at Yankee Trace for helping create an exceptional experience for participants throughout the day.
