Fourth Generation Flooring Retailer Opens In Springboro

Springboro, Ohio: The Johnson family has been providing the Dayton area with beautiful
flooring for over 65 years and now a fourth generation is entering the fold to continue the
tradition.

Johnson’s Flooring Source recently opened in Springboro at 201 Hiawatha Trail. The business
is located across from La Comedia right off State Route 73. Owner Jeff Johnson is excited to
open the new location and to have his sons, Cody and Cole, enter the business. “Our business
has been predominantly in north Dayton for most of our 65 years,” Jeff says, who operates the
company’s Clayton, Ohio location with his wife, Missy. “So with this new location, we are looking
forward to serving Springboro and the surrounding communities. It’s also great to have my sons
entering the family business as they will be managing the new storefront.”

The Johnson family is no stranger to this part of Dayton, though. Jeff and Missy have lived in
Germantown for over 25 years, where Cody and Cole graduated from Valley View. Both sons
now live nearby in Miamisburg.

The company will be trying out a slightly different business model in the new location. Johnson’s
Flooring Source will carry over 50,000 square feet of in-stock luxury vinyl, laminate, hardwood,
and carpet combined, ready for customers to take home same-day. The company has bought
many of these products in bulk and the savings will be passed along to customers with low
prices. Special order flooring will also be available in the showroom. “Advances in hard surface
flooring (luxury vinyl, laminate) have made DIY a much more affordable and practical option for
the average homeowner. We wanted to make sure that we had a place to provide DIYers with
the product, knowledge, and tools they will need to install beautiful floors in their home,” Jeff
said.

Customers who aren’t interested in DIY will have options at Johnson’s Flooring Source, Jeff
said. “If you have a professional installer lined-up, we will help you find the floor that meets your
lifestyle needs and will work with the installer to get everything ordered. If you need an installer,
we will happily refer you to one of our trusted professionals.”

10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM).

-- A grand opening celebration is planned for Saturday, December 3rd from 10:00AM -
3:00PM. The family will have catered refreshments, prizes, and special deals on hand
and invite everyone to come out.
