More than 100 adoptable pets will be looking for families at the rescue’s largest annual Midwest adoption event on November 14

LEBANON, OH (October 25, 2026) – This holiday season, Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue is inviting the Greater Cincinnati community to celebrate the joy of giving a deserving pet a home at its annual Home for the Holidays Mega Adoption Event, taking place Saturday, November 14, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Warren County Career Center in Lebanon, Ohio (3525 North State Route 48, Lebanon, OH 45036).

Louie’s Legacy’s largest annual Midwest adoption event will bring together more than 100 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens, all hoping to find loving families of their own. The family-friendly celebration offers an opportunity for prospective adopters to meet their future companions while learning more about the lifesaving work of foster-based animal rescue.

For animals in rescue, finding an adoptive home does more than change one life. Each successful adoption opens a foster home and creates an opportunity for another animal in need to be rescued. With the holiday season approaching, the event is an opportunity for the community to make a meaningful difference for animals throughout the region.

“The holidays are a wonderful time to welcome a new family member, and this event gives so many deserving animals the chance to find the loving homes they’ve been waiting for,” said Emily Gear, President and Founder of Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue. “Home for the Holidays is one of our most important events of the year. Every adoption helps us make room to save another animal, and we’re excited to bring our community together for a day of second chances.”

Event highlights include:

  • Meeting more than 100 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens.
  • Taking holiday photos with your potential new family member ahead of the holiday season
  • Grabbing a warm beverage from the Pawfee Cart
  • Learning more about fostering, volunteering, and supporting local animal rescue.

Families interested in adopting are encouraged to browse available pets and submit an adoption application in advance at www.louieslegacy.org/adopt. Prospective adopters should note that not every available animal will attend the event, so checking the rescue’s website and social media for updates is recommended.

Community members who are not ready to adopt can still make a difference by learning about foster opportunities, volunteering, and sharing the event with friends and family.
