WEST CHESTER, OH -- With the Cincinnati Reds season underway, Liberty Place residents celebrated the return of the crack of the bat with a friendly game of baseball at the Anthem Memory Care Community.

Middle: Resident Maxine Morey makes it to home plate with an assist from Paul Nasiatka, rehab director with Legacy Healthcare Services.

The residents, dressed in red shirts, showed off their batting prowess against the staff and families by hitting baseballs and “running” the bases. The action included baseball fan favorites like popcorn and red cream soda floats.

“Many of our elders are baseball fans and number of them played sports earlier in their lives,” said Amy Snow, life engagement director for Liberty Place. “We find new ways for our residents and staff to continue to share their love of the game and the excitement about the new season getting underway.”

Bill Razor, Liberty Place resident with his wife Louise enjoyed the game.

Anthem Memory Care Community is located at 7200 Heritagespring Drive, West Chester, OH.
