MASON ENGINEERING FIRM SUPPORTS MORE THAN HALF OF U.S. NUCLEAR PLANTS

MASON, OH -- Millspaw Electronics, a Mason-based engineering firm with more than 30 employees, provides direct support to more than half of the commercial nuclear power plants operating in the United States.

Founded in Mason in 2019, Millspaw helps nuclear plants address a growing challenge: maintaining equipment when original manufacturers stop making or supporting it. The company repairs and refurbishes existing equipment, engineers like-for-like equivalent replacements, and supplies parts that meet the nuclear industry’s extensive quality and documentation requirements.

Early in its history, Millspaw established a nuclear quality assurance program aligned with ASME NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B. These standards establish rigorous quality assurance requirements for work affecting nuclear safety, including how components are designed, procured, inspected, tested, and documented. Building those requirements into the company’s operations from the beginning positioned Millspaw to take on safety-related nuclear work and expand its support of commercial nuclear plants across the country.
