MONROE, OH -- Still the favorite delicatessen for Cincinnatians for over 120 years, IZZY’S has made the move north to the Butler- Warren area. Located at 1330 Hamilton-Lebanon Road ( Hwy 63) Monroe, OH 45050. This is the furthest north of all the IZZY restaurants.

The Original IZZY KADETZ restaurant was located in downtown Cincinnati on Elm Street across from the WLW Studios in the old “Crosley Square” location at 9th and Elm. Originally a “kosher” establishment. IZZY'S has changed over the years. Many items have also changed, as well and including the newer COD FATHER ( fish sandwich) and Beer. Many folks come in for the salads, wraps and burgers. GOETTA is also on the menu!
We were there for the “old school” specialties like the Reuben Sandwiches, Corned Beef, Potato pancakes and homemade soup. Daily corned beef is cooked in each store so it is always fresh. Pickles are still on the table for your enjoyment. The desserts are special, too. My dessert of choice is always the Carrot Cake, which is the perfect finish to an IZZY lunch or dinner.
Prices are competitive to other fast food restaurants, and the food here is higher quality. Everyday there is the “Daily Special” which is ½ Sandwich (your choice), 1 Cup of Soup (your choice) and a potato pancake — the cost $13.99. Beverage is extra, a good purchase when you eat in. Most meals run between $10-$20 per person.

IZZY’s has always had “carryout,” and now, you can order online as well. So, if you really want those great deli foods, you can get them even easier!
If you haven’t been to an IZZY’s before, you will love eating there and the friendly service. One of the owners spent a few minutes chatting with us, and the servers were very helpful with our orders as they didn’t know if we had been to an IZZY’s before. It is always great to be in a place where the positive local attitude is still alive, and there is delicious food, we will always come back to.
