MIDDLETOWN, OH — The Walmart Supercenter located in the Warren County portion of Middletown is getting a fresh new look, and the retailer is inviting the community to celebrate its transformation Friday, Oct. 30.
The store, located at 2900 Towne Blvd., will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m., followed by a community celebration highlighting the improvements made during an extensive remodeling project.
The renovations are part of Walmart's nationwide "Store of the Future" initiative, designed to make shopping more convenient, efficient and enjoyable for customers.
Shoppers visiting the remodeled Middletown location will notice wider aisles, redesigned departments and updated merchandise displays intended to make it easier to browse products and visualize how items might look in their homes.
The store will also feature an expanded selection of healthy foods and merchandise from brands including De'Longhi, Oura, Jessica Simpson and Lemme.
For customers who prefer shopping online, Walmart is introducing additional convenience options, including delivery in as little as one hour. Improvements to the Walmart app will also help customers navigate store aisles and access services more easily.
Another significant improvement is the store's updated Vision Center, designed to provide customers with greater privacy and convenience. The center will offer eyewear brands such as Nike, Calvin Klein and DKNY, along with services including free eyeglass cleanings and adjustments.
The Middletown remodeling project is one of 18 Walmart store renovations planned across Ohio in 2026. Nationwide, the company expects to complete approximately 650 store remodels this year.
Beyond the physical improvements, Friday's celebration will recognize Walmart's continued involvement in the local community. Representatives will present grants to local organizations as part of the reopening festivities.
Although the store carries a Middletown address, its location within Warren County makes it a shopping destination for residents throughout the surrounding area.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony begins at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at the Walmart Supercenter, 2900 Towne Blvd., Middletown. A community celebration will immediately follow.
