DAYTON, OH -- Carillon Park, in partnership with Ohio History Connection, is hosting the Region 7 Ohio History Day on March 7, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
What is History Day? It’s like a science fair, but for history!
History Day is a national program. Each state hosts its own contest, and winners advance to the national competition in College Park, Maryland.
Each year, a theme is selected, and students in grades 6–12 compete in one of five categories: Exhibit, Performance, Documentary, Paper, and Website.
Judges are needed to evaluate projects, interview students, provide constructive feedback, and help determine who advances from Ohio to the national level. Click here to learn more about the event and how to volunteer as a judge and help students in grades 6–12 discover a love for history.
