SPRINGBORO, OH — Longtime Springboro Mayor John Agenbroad endorsed Zac Haines to become Ohio’s next State Senator representing the 7th District.Mayor Agenbroad is a Marine Corps veteran, a former Patriot of the Year recognized by Ohio’s Military Order of the Purple Heart, and is currently serving his eighth term on Springboro City Council.

“Mayor Agenbroad’s endorsement reflects the bipartisan support our campaign continues to earn. While we may be on different sides of the aisle, we share a strong commitment to serving our communities,” said Haines. “Mayor Agenbroad is a respected, longtime public servant, and I look forward to working together to make our communities even better places to live, work, and raise a family.”

The endorsement adds to a growing coalition of more than 120 federal, statewide, and local elected officials supporting Haines’ campaign for State Senate.

“I recently met with Mayor Agenbroad and Springboro City Manager Chris Pozzuto to discuss the city’s priorities, the challenges and opportunities ahead, and how state government can be a better partner to our local communities,” Haines continued. “It was a productive conversation, and I appreciated the opportunity to hear directly from Springboro’s leadership.”

A CEO and member of the Miami University Board of Trustees, Haines has focused his campaign on strengthening Ohio’s economy, supporting families and small businesses, and promoting accountable government.
