WILMINGTON, Ohio — Halloween may be over, but the scares are far from finished at Brimstone Haunt, which is extending its 10th anniversary season with four nights of special events in November and December.
Located near the Warren County line and affiliated with the Ohio Renaissance Festival and Renaissance Park, Brimstone Haunt is offering visitors three different experiences for those who aren't quite ready to put away their Halloween costumes.
The extended season begins Saturday, Nov. 7, with Lights Out, followed by Friday the 13th Slasher Night on Nov. 13 and Scary Little Christmas on Dec. 12 and 19.
Visitors who think they know their way through Brimstone's haunted attractions may find themselves completely disoriented when the lights go out.
During Lights Out, the attractions will operate in total darkness, with each group receiving just one glow stick to navigate its way through the haunted passages.
"Lights Out takes everything guests think they know about our attractions and turns it upside down," said Cheryl Bales, Brimstone Haunt's marketing director. "One glow stick for your whole group is a very different night at Brimstone."
For those who believe Friday the 13th is an unlucky day, Brimstone Haunt is giving them another reason to be nervous.
The one-night event will feature masked killers and horror-themed characters roaming the attractions, along with surprise appearances designed to keep guests guessing about what might be lurking around the next corner.
Christmas is getting a frightening makeover as Brimstone transforms its haunted attractions into a twisted winter wonderland. Instead of traditional holiday cheer, visitors will encounter Santa Claws, a sinister version of Jack Frost and the mysterious Mr. Cane.
The two-night holiday event offers an unusual alternative to traditional Christmas activities, combining familiar seasonal characters with the park's signature scares.
Brimstone Haunt is located at 525 Brimstone Road in Wilmington, off state Route 73, with access from Interstates 71 and 75. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., with attractions opening after sunset. Parking is free.
For the November events, general admission tickets are $39.99, or $47.99 with a Fast Pass. Ultimate admission, which includes midway games, costs $49.99, or $65.99 with a Fast Pass. Ticket prices for the December Christmas events have not yet been announced.
Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance and arrive early. Tickets and additional information are available at www.brimstonehaunt.com/tickets. brimstonehaunt.com · Facebook · Instagram
