LEBANON, OH -- Zac Haines, who is running for the Ohio State Senate's 7th District, has been endorsed by U.S. Senator Jon Husted.
“Zac Haines is a proven conservative and business leader who understands what it takes to get results. He will stand strong for Ohio families, defend our values, and fight for lower taxes and a stronger economy. I am proud to endorse Zac Haines for the Ohio State Senate, 7th District,” remarked Senator Husted.
Haines, a successful CEO, husband, father, and Miami University Board of Trustees member, now has endorsements by U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno, Rep. Warren Davidson, and a list of over 100 federal, state, Warren countywide, and local Republican leaders.
The 7th Ohio Senate District is currently held by term-limited Senator Steve Wilson and includes Warren County and northeastern Hamilton County.
"I am running to make Ohio the most competitive and prosperous state in the nation," said Zac Haines. "With over $400,000 cash on hand, we have built a solid foundation to fight for lower taxes, safer communities, better schools, and economic growth that benefits every family in the district. This early support from across the region shows that voters are ready for bold, conservative leadership in Columbus."
Haines is running against Kim Lukens to be the Republican nominee on the ballot for the general election in November.
Lukens, a mother a five grown children and six grandchildren, is a former private counseling practice owner (Warren County) and manager of 400 grass-fed beef cattle in Warren County and Indiana. Currently, she is a hospital chaplain and community service volunteer and licensed social worker. She has also been involved with several nonprofit and service organizations, including Our Lady of America Farms, Damascus, and Christi’s Pure Fashions.
Former State Rep Scott Lipps had also pulled a petition to run, but announced back in January that he was dropping out for the good of the party.
