Lebanon Food Pantry Honors Jerry Harrod for Years of Dedicated Service
JUNE 11, 2025 | Lebanon, OH — After eight years of tireless service, five of which were as coordinator, the Lebanon Food Pantry is bidding a fond farewell to a beloved teammate and friend, Jerry Harrod.
Known for his quick wit and unwavering dedication, Jerry has become a familiar and welcoming presence to hundreds of neighbors who rely on the pantry for support. His sense of humor and strong commitment to empowering volunteers made him a pillar of the organization and a trusted figure in the community.
“Jerry became my friend instantly. Jerry cares about the families we serve and is a friend to all,” said Lucky Nistlebeck, a dedicated pantry volunteer. “We will continue our friendship as long as the good lord is willing. He will truly be missed at the pantry,” Lucky added.
“Jerry knew neighbors by name and took the time to get to know them,” said Kristin Davenport, president of the Board of Trustees. “He noticed when someone needed a little extra support and celebrated with them when times improved.”
Jerry brought years of retail experience and organizational expertise, which helped shape the expansion of the pantry’s services and its ability to meet growing community needs. His skills in operations and logistics contributed to more efficient food distribution and an improved experience for both volunteers and guests.
Jerry was a champion of teamwork, always uplifting the efforts of others and creating an environment where volunteers felt valued, included, and empowered to serve. He played a vital role in building a supportive, mission-driven culture that enabled the pantry to meet growing needs with compassion and care.
As Jerry steps down from his role, the Lebanon Food Pantry community extends its heartfelt thanks and best wishes to him. Though he may be stepping away from his position, Jerry won’t be going far—he plans to continue serving the community in other meaningful ways.
From all of us at the pantry and throughout Warren County: Thank you, Jerry, for your years of teamwork, your heart for service, and the joy you brought to this work. You will be missed—and always celebrated.
