Inside the Cincinnati Open: Shelly Abrams Tours Mason’s Lindner Tennis Center

MASON, Ohio — The Cincinnati Open brings some of the world’s best tennis players to Warren County each summer, but there is much more to the tournament than what happens on the courts.

In a video tour from Mason, Shelly Abrams takes viewers inside the Lindner Family Tennis Center at Legacy Park, home of the 2026 Cincinnati Open, offering a closer look at the history, improvements and amenities that have transformed the longtime tournament site.

Abrams begins at the Legacy Wall, where the story of the Cincinnati Open stretches back to 1899. The tournament is described as the nation’s oldest professional tennis tournament still played in its original city of origin, with generations of champions represented along the wall. She also highlights the tournament’s distinctive Rookwood Pottery trophies, connecting the event with another part of Cincinnati history.
The tour then moves through the extensively renovated grounds, including new and enhanced fan areas, landscaping, the Kroger indoor fan zone and player amenities. Abrams shows viewers the performance area where players have access to workout equipment, courts, recreation areas, food and other facilities between matches.
She also visits Champions Court and points out the local connection to the tournament, including Mason native Peyton Stearns competing before hometown fans — a player who once attended the Cincinnati Open as a child and is now competing professionally on its courts.

Abrams’ tour gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how the Cincinnati Open continues to honor more than a century of tennis history while building for its future in Warren County.
