SIEGE: A Tournament of Steel and Honor

WAYNESVILLE, OH -- The Cincinnati Barbarians and the Ohio Renaissance Festival are proud to announce Siege, a three-day armored combat tournament held May 22–24, 2026 at Renaissance Park in Waynesville, Ohio. The event pays tribute to the late Alex Ding, a beloved member of the Cincinnati Barbarians whose warrior spirit and dedication to the sport inspired all who knew him.

About the Tournament

Siege will bring together over 20 teams and more than 100 individual fighters from across the region for an immersive weekend of full-contact armored combat. Competitions will include both exhilarating group melees and five-on-five duels, showcasing the athleticism, camaraderie, and martial tradition at the heart of the sport. Whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast or a first-time spectator, Siege promises a spectacle unlike anything else.

Who was Alex Ding

Siege is dedicated to the memory of Alex Ding, a cherished fighter and cornerstone of the Cincinnati Barbarians community. Alex embodied the values of the sport — courage, fellowship, and an unyielding heart — and his legacy will live on in every clash of steel this weekend. The tournament stands as a tribute to his life and his love of armored combat.

Entertainment Schedule

The fun extends well beyond the fighting field. Each evening brings its own brand of entertainment: 

  • Friday, May 22 — Trivia Night at 6:00 PM. Put your knowledge to the test and battle wits with fellow attendees.
  • Saturday, May 23 — Live performance by hard rock band Black Water Voodoo at 6:00 PM. Get ready to rock after a day of steel on steel.
  • Sunday, May 24 — Roaming entertainment throughout the day, weaving through the grounds and keeping the energy high from morning to closing.

Tickets & Admission

General admission is $15 (plus applicable fees), available online at BigTickets.com.in advance or at the door. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge. Siege is a family-friendly event open to all ages. Gates open at 10 am.
