CRACK! Jacques the Whipper Brings His Whip-Cracking Spectacle to the Ohio Renaissance Festival

HARVEYSBURG, OH --  The air over the village of Willy Nilly On-The-Wash is about to get a great deal louder. The Ohio Renaissance Festival is thrilled to announce that Jacques Ze Whipper will join the festival's guest performer lineup for two weekends this September, bringing his blend of jaw-dropping whip artistry, comic swagger and fearless audience interaction to the Shipwrecked Stage.

A viral sensation with millions of followers online, Jacques Ze Whipper has built a reputation for doing the impossible with a bullwhip — snuffing candles, slicing targets from a volunteer's hand, and cracking out rhythms faster than the eye can follow, all while keeping a crowd in stitches. It is a show equal parts precision, danger and comedy, and it is unlike anything else on the festival grounds.

Jacques will perform four shows daily at the Shipwrecked Stage:

• 12:30pm
• 2:00pm
• 4:00pm
• 5:30pm

He appears Saturday and Sunday, September 19 and 20 (Pirates Weekend) and Saturday and Sunday, September 26 and 27 (Highland Weekend). Seating at the Shipwrecked Stage is first-come, first-served, and guests are encouraged to arrive early — his shows draw a crowd.

"Pairing him with Pirates Weekend and Highland Weekend gives our guests four chances across two of our larger weekends to see a very popular world-class act."

Jacques' performances are included with general festival admission at no additional cost.

• Dates: September 5 through November | Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day
• Hours: 10:30am to 7:00pm daily
• Location: Renaissance Park, 10542 State Route 73, Waynesville, OH 45068 (GPS directions may divert festival traffic away from State Route 73. All festival traffic must use entrance on State Route 73.)
• Parking: Free parking, with accessible parking near the front gate.
• Tickets — Date Specific: Adults $36 online plus fees. Children ages 5 – 12 are $10 online plus fees. Children under 5 are free. Tickets are available at renfestival.com.
