Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died at the age of 87. She reportedly died from complications of pancreatic cancer.
Ginsburg was appointed to by United States Court of Appeals by President Jimmy Carter. She served in that role until she was nominated to be on the United States Supreme Court by President Bill Clinton. Ginsburg was the second woman to be appointed to the Supreme Court.
Ginsburg was an advocate for women's rights throughout her career. She argued cases about women's rights before the Supreme Court before becoming a member of the Supreme Court.
