Similar to what newspapers in the 19th Century did the www.warrencountypost.com. will publish a chapter a day from the book Deceptions in the Air. This fictional book is a blend of reality and conspiracy with a mix of Biblical Prophecy. My hope is that you enjoy the story, while it puts a desire in your heart to seek Truth.

Chapter 23: The Office

As he closed his office door, Russ pointed to a chair for Bri to take a seat.

“Bri, what kind of question was that? Did he create? You knew he didn’t create. Why didn’t you use have you played a role in implementing or further developing? Not create!"

“I um… I wasn’t able to think of a better word. I was nervous.”

“Bri, you have been a news anchor for seven years now and a reporter for another 10. You don’t get nervous. I’ve watched clips from your shows in the past.”

Russ paused and took a deep breath to calm himself before speaking again.

“Bri, I know you are in a very awkward spot. You love Alex. It’s written all over you. And now, you’re going away with him to the beach.”

“How do you know that?”

“Jack told me about your past with Alex, and I heard Alex talking to you about the beach when we were walking up.”

Bri dropped her head into her arm that was resting on the desk. Slowly twisting her head up, she looked at Russ.

“I just can’t do it. I can’t pin him into some corner and make him look like a horrible person. He’s a good person, Russ. He’s a very good and kind person. Having him to admit that he has anything to do with such a project would make him look like he was assisting some kind of anti-Christ. Alex would never ever do that.”

“Bri,” Russ said, quieter but more sternly, “Alex can be a dangerous man. You need to be very, very careful. Your emotions aren’t letting you think as clearly as you usually do… or as you should be doing.”

Bri’s eyes began to tear up and she looked away from Russ. As she pulled herself together, she slowly turned back towards him.

“What’s happening to me? I almost feel like I’m not even here. I’m like, in some other dimension.”

Russ smiled and walked over to Bri. Placing his hand on her shoulder he said, “I know. You’re in terrible spiritual warfare. There a lot of people praying for you. Go out and do your show on holograms. Don’t even bring up the Blue Beam Project.”

Bri rose from the chair and headed to the door. As she went to open it, she was stopped by Russ’s words.

“Bri, I’m sending Jack to the beach with you. He’ll be on a different flight, but he will be staying at the Sand Dunes, just in case you need him.”

At first Bri wanted to yell, how dare you! I can take care of myself. But her soul told her otherwise…

Walking towards the door, she stopped, then turned and smiled... "Thank you, Russ."
