WARREN COUNTY, OH -- Welcome back for Part 4 of Fort Washington at Cincinnati by Robert Ralston Jones.

Happy 222nd Birthday to Ohio! On March 1, 1803, Ohio became the 17th state to join the Union.

In part 4, we learn about some of the animals that lived in the area. General Harmar is moving to Cincinnati from Marietta to take command as per War Secretary Knox. The formation of Hamilton County, Ohio and some of the early changes to the boundaries and size of Hamilton County in Ohio are presented.

Government is formed; officers commissioned, soldiers sworn in and assigned, and civilian leaders are appointed. The fort is nearly done.
