CINCINNATI, OH -- The Cincinnati St. Patrick's Parade will celebrate its 56th year at The Banks on Saturday, March 16 at noon. The honorary 2024 Grand Marshal of the parade is Emmy-award winning broadcast journalist Betsy Ross. Ross, who is graduated from the University of Notre Dame will have the Notre Dame Club of Cincinnati March with her.
Ross started her broadcast career at WCPO in Al Schottlekotte’s newsroom before joining SportsChannel America in New York. She returned to Cincinnati to anchor aside Jerry Springer and Norma Rashid at WLWT in the 1990s. From 1997-2002, she was an anchor at ESPN, just one of six female anchors at the time with Robin Roberts, Linda Cohn and Chris McKendry, among others.
Today, she continues as a sports reporter for Fox 19, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Notre Dame where she teaches Game Day Media and is the co-founder of Game Day, a media and marketing agency.
