Gulbransen Receives Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association Scholarship

LEBANON, OH -- Bryce Gulbransen of Lebanon, Ohio has been awarded a scholarship from the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association. Gulbransen is a Dallas High School graduate attending Sinclair Community College to obtain her associate’s degree. She plans to continue her education at the University of Cincinnati where she will study sonography to become an ultrasound technician. 

Gulbransen is a generational harness horseman who has worked with Standardbreds throughout her educational career. She credits her mother, a racehorse trainer, for being an outstanding role model. 

“Her hard work and dedication taught me how extraordinary things don’t come without challenge and to put effort into everything you do,” she said.

The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association awarded seventeen scholarships to college and postgraduate students for the 2024-2025 academic year. The OHHA Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors and students enrolled in a degree or certificate program. Graduate students are eligible if they are enrolled in a harness racing-specific graduate or professional-level program. The scholarships are based on academic merit and financial need and must be used towards the cost and expenses directly related to coursework and a degree being pursued at a college or university.
