Meet HART's Super Star of the Week — Hitch

Image

MASON, OH -- Hi, I'm Hitch, a 2-year-old female tabby. I was found in a car engine at 5 weeks old and have been with HART ever since. When I was a kitten, I grew ill from a disease known as FIP, but I recovered well and ready for my new life.

Even though I'm not a kitten anymore, I still act like one. I carry toy mice in my mouth and run up and down the stairs with them. I am also known for being a lazy kitty. Sometimes my family leaves and I'm still in the same cozy position when they come back. They joke that I need a job, but I think I pay my living in cuddles and biscuits.

Every morning you will wake up with me cuddling on your chest.I am also a good therapy kitty because I lick you when you're sad, and I love other cats and tolerate dogs. I'm wishing for a forever home that has at least one kitty for me to play with!

If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application on www.rescueahart.org and one of the HART volunteers will be in touch with you soon.

There's also information on the website about "Midnight at the Masquerade," HART's annual fall fundraiser that will help them provide everything my friends and I need while we're awaiting our forever homes! It will be an evening filled with mystery, mayhem, . . . and a murder they'll need your help to solve!

WarrenCountyPost.com is working with HART (Homeless Animal Rescue Team) in helping them with their mission, which is:

  • Helping them rescue homeless animals,
  • Saving them from euthanization, abandonment, and abuse
  • Placing them in forever homes.

All HART pets are fully-vetted (spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, micro-chipped, and on heart worm and/or flea and tick preventative) at time of adoption. To help HART perform its mission, WarrenCountyPost.com will be "Spotlighting" an animal that needs a Forever Home on a weekly basis. To learn more about HART visit their website here.
