With the days getting shorter and the breezes starting to blow a wee bit  cooler, it's no wonder that many of our thoughts are turning in anticipation to the wonder of the season we call Autumn. Whether you want to celebrate National Red Wine Day or if the Halloween bug is starting to make you itch, try this black sangria recipe to appease your festive mood.

BLACK SANGRIA

  • 1 bottle Apothic Dark red wine blend
  • 2 cups organic blackberries, washed
  • 4 black plums, washed and sliced
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 2 cups black grapes, washed
  • 1 cup sparkling water if you desire, but you don’t have to if you want a strong wine taste

Directions

Place all ingredients into a pitcher and mix with a large spoon. Let it sit in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours. The longer it sits, the darker  the plums become. Serve over ice or frozen berries and enjoy!
