The 2nd annual Hall Around Town Radio – “Acoustapalooza” will be held at The Barrel in Springboro, Ohio on Sunday, Aug. 30.

The all-day concert will feature nine bands and nine solo acts on two stages staring at noon.  Superior Hyundai of Beavercreek is the sponsor of the main concert stage and the side solo stage is sponsored by Ruscello’s Salon of Springboro. There will be great food, door prizes, raffles, a silent auction and non-stop music throughout the day.

The money raised during Acoustapalooza will go to Dayton Children’s Hospital Foundation the money will benefit local children with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes.  It is a cause that is close to the heart of Dawn Roskovich, who is co-owner of The Barrel.  Her daughter, Kali, was diagnosed with Type 1 juvenile diabetes 11 years ago.  "There are several thousands of children in this area fighting type one diabetes, my daughter being one of them..."

Roskovich said there are some families who do not have the means or the insurance to pay for special supplies needed.  "It makes me feel great that our community and staff with got Hall and Hall Around Town radio can provide some essentials for these children and families," she said.

Scott Hall, owner and host of Hall Around Town Radio,  has worked many hours to organize Acoustapalooza, which was originally scheduled to be held in March.  Hall said they have been looking forward to Acoustapalooza since March when we had to cancel due to the venue shut down and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hall said they have an incredible music lineup coming together to raise funds that stay local and support children with type one juvenile diabetes.  "This is our second annual event and I am so thrilled that our music community can come together to meet all the requirements currently in place and still have this wonderful day of love music and fundraising," Hall said.

People who attend the event will be expected to socially distance in The Barrel.  Due to current orders from the Ohio Department of Health, capacity inside The Barrel will be limited.  There will also be additional seat on The Barrel's outdoor patio.  If The Barrel is full, people will asked to wait outside The Barrel.

People who are not comfortable coming to Acoustapalooza because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are various ways to still contribute.  People can donate directly to the Dayton Children's Hospital Foundation.  The link ishttps://secure2.convio.net/dayton/site/Donation2?df_id=1740&mfc_pref=T&1740.donation=form1    Hall asks that people mention Acoustapalooza when they donate, but he says that donations sent through the link may not be included in the total amount for Acoustapalooza.

Another way to donate is to send the money to Hall through Venmo at @ Scott-Hall-Radio or PayPal at paypal.me/scotthallradio.    People can visit their “Drive Thru” location in front of The Barrel all day on Sunday.
