DAYTON, OHIO – About 20 minutes north of the Warren County boarder sits Front Street, Dayton’s largest collective of artists, artisans, and entrepreneurs. And this year, Front Street is celebrating sixty years as Dayton’s hub for art and culture.
Fueling innovation and creativity since 1965, Front Street has been home to generations of aspiring artists and entrepreneurs. It began in an old envelope factory, which was re-purposed as an incubator for entrepreneurs. The campus evolved to embrace artists and artisans in addition to entrepreneurs, creating a vibrant and eclectic atmosphere teeming with creativity and innovation. With everything from painting and sculpting to glassblowing and custom jewelry, Front Street is a destination for art.
Front Street is more than art- services include a gym, salon, spa, custom furniture, and more.
“Front Street has a rich history in Dayton’s vibrant arts community. I’m humbled to be the steward of such a storied property, and proud to be able to provide a home for artists and entrepreneurs to thrive and flourish right here in Dayton,” said owner Richard Lundin.
Under Lundin’s ownership and management, Front Street is experiencing a renaissance as a vibrant epicenter of artistic energy and expression. With over 150 unique artists, shops, and boutiques spread across three large industrial buildings, Front Street is a destination waiting to be explored.
There’s always something happening at Front Street - and 2025 is no exception. Monthly Art Hops occur on the first Friday and Saturday of each month, featuring fun for the whole family and a vibrant live atmosphere.
And this year, special events are planned throughout the year to celebrate sixty years of art and culture, culminating in a 60th Anniversary Bash on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Details about these events and more can be found here at frontstreet.art or here at Front Street Facebook page
