LEBANON, OH -- Surviving ANOTHER Warren County summer, we knew that the 90 degree days would carry us along a few more weeks. And, it was during this time, it seemed like a great time to check out some local ways to “keep cool."
We have tried Whit’s Frozen Custard in Lebanon many times to enjoy the rich textured custard in several forms. So, another visit in the heat was a great idea!
While Whit's is an Ohio-based chain that was founded in Granville, Ohio, in 2003, the Lebanon Whit's Frozen Custard is the only one in Warren County. This tiny carryout is on Broadway near Mulberry St. There is a small parking area right behind the store and close to the community lot behind the City Building. There are convenient picnic tables to enjoy your cold treats behind the shop.
A special feature is the "flavor of the day," which makes it uniquely Whit’s. There is an online calendar available to find out when your favorite flavor is being made. My favorite flavor is the “Buckeye,” which of course is chocolate and peanut butter .
When we were there, it wasn’t BUCKEYE DAY. However, they DO make a Buckeye sundae ( Buckeye Madness) made with the "every day" vanilla with toppings.
Containers of frozen custard in various flavors to take home can be found in a freezer case. NOTE: Frozen custard is made with cream and eggs unlike ice cream, which is made mostly with milk!
There isn’t a price list online of the items on the menu. While we were there, we took the opportunity to write down a few of the prices, which of course can change. A few items at the Lebanon location:

Whit's Frozen Custard is located at 6 S. Broadway, Lebanon, OH 45036.
Whit's Frozen Custard was recently acquired by a Kentucky businessman Bill Aseere, who is CEO of Space Cowboys Restaurant Group and a major Donato's Pizza franchisee in April 2025. While he plans a new headquarters and flagship store in Kentucky, the brand remains strongly associated with its Ohio roots, with 30 locations in Ohio, which include areas not too far from Warren County: Centerville, Trenton and Germantown.
