CARLISLE, OH -- On February 1st students in Ms. Amos’ third grade classroom participated in a Glow Games. During the Glow Games, students were reviewing multiplication concepts while having fun in a room filled with black lights.

Students came prepared with vibrant white- and neon-colored shirts. They were given finger lights, glow bracelets, and glow glasses to participate in various glow in the dark activities explained Amos.

Throughout the day, students rotated through 5 different math centers where they could apply their knowledge of multiplication. After a math question had been answered, students shared their answer with their team and made any adjustments and addressed any misconceptions.

Students, then, took a turn at one of the glow in the dark games. Glow in the dark games included Jenga, Connect 4, Tic-Tac Glow, Monster Math, and Ring Toss.

Students greatly enjoyed the experience. It was truly a day filled with problem solving, perseverance, and excitement as well as learning, engagement, teamwork ... and most of all fun, noted Amos.
