WARREN COUNTY, OH -- After more than a year of robust community engagement, the Warren County Park District (WCPD) is proud to announce the adoption of its new Strategic Plan, a visionary roadmap designed to guide the next decade of growth, conservation, and community connection across Warren County’s parks, trails, and natural areas.
Adopted by the Board of Park Commissioners on June 19, 2025, the plan reflects the voices of hundreds of residents, stakeholders, and partner organizations who participated through surveys, focus groups, and open houses. Their input helped shape a shared vision for a healthier, more connected, and more vibrant Warren County.
“This plan is more than a document—it’s a commitment to our community,” said Matt Latham, CEO of WCPD. “It reflects our belief that parks and green spaces are essential to the well-being of every resident, and it charts a bold course for how we’ll protect and enhance those spaces for generations to come.”
Key Highlights of the Strategic Plan:
The plan also outlines priority actions such as leveraging grant funding, enhancing signage and wayfinding, and positioning parks as welcoming spaces that support physical, mental, and environmental health.
WCPD’s unique role as a county-wide park provider allows it to bridge service gaps, coordinate across jurisdictions, and lead with efficiency—ensuring that every dollar invested stretches further to benefit all residents.
