CARLISLE, OH -- A season that revived a town, rewrote expectations and redefined what Carlisle football believes it can become came to a heartbreaking end Friday night (November 14, 2025) at Laughlin Field. The Indians fell 40–36 to North Union in a Division V regional semifinal that delivered every twist imaginable — including a frantic fourth quarter and momentum swings worthy of the price of admission. The Carlisle crowd — which packed the stadium, lined the fences and spilled onto the walkways — turned the night into something bigger than football.
The 2025 season will be remembered as one of the greatest chapters in Carlisle football history. The team had a year that renewed excitement across the community and restored TRIBE PRIDE. This remarkable team earned only the program’s second-ever 10-win season, a milestone that reflects months of hard work, discipline, and belief. The Indians secured multiple playoff victories for the first time in a season, making it amongst the final 16 teams in the state of Ohio.
Perhaps the most unforgettable moment came fittingly at home—the first home playoff win in school history, a 35-0 win over West Liberty Salem.
Thank you to the entire community for making 2025 a special season.
