Similar to what newspapers in the 19th Century did the www.warrencountypost.com. will publish a chapter a day from the book Deceptions in the Air. This fictional book is a blend of reality and conspiracy with a mix of Biblical Prophecy. My hope is that you enjoy the story, while it puts a desire in your heart to seek Truth.

Chapter 20: The Morning Rush

"Bri!” shouted Jack as he pounded on her door. “Bri! Get up... Now!”

Bri began stirring under the covers.

“Bri! Get up!” Jack kept shouting as he continued pounding on the door.

Opening her eyes, Bri looked at her clock and jumped out of bed to run to the door.

“Bri, you’re not even dressed! The taxi is going to be here in like 10 minutes.”

“I’m sorry. My alarm must not have gone off. Let me jump in the shower. I’ll do my makeup in the car and my hair at the studio. You grab my notes and put all that stuff in my bag.”

She scurried around the room gathering her clothes before heading to the bathroom.

As Jack grabbed all her notes and scribbles, he was shocked to see that it looked like Bri had read every one of the articles Russ had sent her.

“Did you read all of these?” he asked walking into the outer room of the shower area.

“Yeah,” she said as she opened the door with her wet hair wrapped in a towel.

“How in the world did you find time to read all this?” Jack questioned while helping her zip the back of her dress.

“This is why I am the award-winning reporter and you... you are only the producer!” She smirked.

Jack handed her a pair of heels to put on as she finished brushing her teeth.

“Look, a minute to spare!” Laughing, she grabbed her bag and headed to the door.

As the two were riding the elevator down, she began to actually wake up. She looked at Jack with uncertainly.

“Am I going away with Alex today… to the beach?”

“Wow... you had the same dream I had,” Jack said, looking at her in shock.

“Wait, it wasn’t a dream was it? You are going away with Alex! It’s like it was written in the stars… right before you woke me up!”

The elevator door opened and the two ran to the taxi. During the ride to the studio, not much was said.

Bri began remembering all the material she had read the night before. She was beginning to remember the kiss Alex had given her before she had gotten on the elevator, and the excitement she felt when he asked her to go with him.

Breaking the silence, Jack asked, “Bri, do you think that maybe I should go with you to the beach?”

“I don’t know,” she said a little confused.

The taxi pulled into the studio where Russ was standing, waiting to greet them.
