Similar to what newspapers in the 19th Century did the www.warrencountypost.com. will publish a chapter a day from the book Deceptions in the Air. This fictional book is a blend of reality and conspiracy with a mix of Biblical Prophecy. My hope is that you enjoy the story, while it puts a desire in your heart to seek Truth.
CHAPTER 64: The Port Opens
More hologram port files began to appear on Alex’s computer screen as more and more holograms seemed to jump from the screen and began to fill the room.
As the electrical power seemed to intensify and surge within his computer, the lights began to fade in and out — not only in Alex’s condo but throughout the city.
“What’s happening?” Jack asked rather nervously, but then answering his own question, he said, “I think all the energy from the power grids are being used to create these things!”
Suddenly a howling noise came through the windows along with an eerie cool breeze, even though the windows were closed. The winds became stronger as unearthly screams filled the air and flashes of lightening filled the sky.
Bri, holding onto Jack with all her might, cried to him. “I think we are where no humans are supposed to go. These are evil spirits that Alex has somehow conjured up or allowed to grow through his science experiments. It’s like we are in the place of emptiness... a black hole... a void... the pit of Hell.”
The two fell to the ground as Jack hovered over Brianna, trying to protect her from what — he wasn’t sure.
“In the name of Jesus help us!” Bri called out to God.
Then, silence came — as everything went completely black.
For a second, the two did not even breathe due to the fear that had overtaken them.
Slowly opening their eyes to see why it was so quiet, Jack and Bri saw a glimpse of a white light that illuminated a silhouette of an angelic figure. Awe overtook the two as they stared at this alluring creature.
“Do not be afraid. I come in the name of the Most High. Finish your task as you were told to do. Destroy this machine. I, along with the other heavenly hosts will do the spiritual warfare. But, you must finish what you were sent to do.”
Bri began to laugh nervously. The angelic figure gave Bri an incredulous look.
“Please,” Bri was able to finally speak. “I’m not laughing because I don’t believe you. I’ve read the stories about John the Baptist’s mother and father, and Abraham’s wife laughing… I can’t help it… I am extremely nervous…. I laugh when I’m nervous. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. But you probably already know this, right?... I apologize… I’m human… I’m…”
The angel lifted its hand to order Bri to shut her mouth.
“We know you humans are odd characters. Just do as you were told. All will be right.”
Then the figure was gone, along with all the holograms. As the lights came back on it was as though nothing had even happened in the condo. Jack slowly got up as he helped Bri to her feet.
“That’s as close to Hell I ever want to get,” Jack said.
As the two turned toward Alex’s computer, Jack stopped Bri and questioned her.
“What was it you saw when you looked into their eyes?”
“I saw the feeling that had grown inside of me each time Alex would come in and out of my life.”
Jack looked at her puzzled.
“There was nothing. It was as though there was this huge black hole... a complete void. They were beings with no souls.”
Bri walked over to Alex’s desk to look at the family hologram portrait.
“It was like I was actually looking at complete loneliness... I was looking at the spirit that has trying to take my soul all these years… It was as though I was seeing the darkness, the emptiness of hell.”
Slowly Bri looked up at Jack with tears in her eyes and continued.
“I saw face to face what God has been fighting to save me... you... all people from... a big dark eternal hole filled with pain and lonliness."
Jack grabbed Bri and held onto her as she trembled from the terror of what she had seen.
