FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP WARREN COUNTY, OH --

A statement by the current Fiscal Officer: Scot Fromeyer and the Franklin Township Trustees Rob Rose,  Matt Jennings and Shane Centers on the passing of William "Tommy" Roberts...

On June 26, 2024, Franklin Township lost a legend in the passing of Former Roads Department Superintendent William "Tommy" Roberts. Tommy as he was affectionately known, served Franklin Township for almost 40 years, and during that time he became a well-respected leader throughout the area. He built lasting friendships with many current and former Franklin Township staff members, and colleagues in the surrounding communities.

Last May the Township honored Tommy for his years of service and dedication by naming the renovated Roads Department Building after him.

While Tommy will most certainly be missed his legacy will live on in this Township for generations to come.

To allow the Franklin Township Staff to honor Tommy one final time, Franklin Township will be closed on July 3, 2024, to attend his funeral services.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, Ohio 45005. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jamie Cagg officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.
