Landsman’s Bipartisan Child Care Legislation Unanimously Passes House Committee

LEBANON, OH -- Congressman Greg Landsman and Congresswoman Julia Letlow’s bipartisan Child Care Small Business Insight and Improvement Act has unanimously passed out of the House Committee on Small Business.

In November, Congressman Landsman and Congresswoman Letlow introduced their bipartisan legislation to require the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to conduct a study on the needs and challenges of for-profit child care providers, identify what resources the SBA currently provides to for-profit child care providers, and make recommendations to address the challenges faced by for-profit child care providers.

Congressman Landsman:

“Working families need access to quality, affordable child care. Right now, child care providers across the country need all the support they can get. Our bipartisan bill is focused on elevating the role the U.S. Small Business Administration plays in supporting child care small businesses. With the expertise and feedback provided by the SBA, Congress can get to work on polices that invest in our child care small businesses and the children and families that rely on them. Now, I’ll be working with my Republican and Democratic colleagues to bring our bill up for a vote in the House.”
