LEBANON, OH -- Students in the Junior Digital Media Arts (DMA) program at the Warren County Career Center reached out to both Ben Mccullough and C. Michelle Teska, the two republican candidates running for State Representativet in District 55, to see if they would be interested in helping them get experience in "on air" interviewing. Scott Lipps, who currently holds the seat, cannot run again for this position due to term limits.
Justin Deeters, the classroom teacher, explained that the class had reached out to the three candidates running for the spot, which includes Democratic candidate Laura Marie Davis.
Deeters noted that since she is running unopposed as the democratic nominee on the March ballot, it would better to do an interview with her and the republican candidate in the fall closer to the November election.
While the students are waiting to hear from Teska, they did hear from McCullough, who sat down with the students last week to help them gain some interviewing experience. Working with Ben gave the students a chance to see how important it is to have a voice in the government, especially when it comes to the education of future generations and society today.
"The students shared with me that they found it an enriching experience, building theirr skills such as audio work, videography, and client work.,"noted Deeters. To watch their interview click on video below....
