Landsman Statement on Gov. Tim Walz Being Named Harris VP Nominee

WARREN COUNTY, OHIO -- Congressman Landsman released the following statement regarding Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz being named Vice President Kamala Harris’ Vice Presidential nominee:

Gov. Walz can do the job, and helps reinforce that we’re team normal. We’re pragmatic, reliable and bipartisan. Vance reinforces chaos and extremism. We can’t go back.
Together, Walz and Harris will help us pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, ending voter suppression, partisan gerrymandering, and dark money.
Walz and Harris will help us restore reproductive freedom and keep the far right out of our doctors’ offices, our bedrooms, and our kids’ locker rooms.
Walz and Harris will help us fix the tax code and build an economy for working people, not billionaires.
Walz and Harris will help us pass the bipartisan border fix that Trump blocked.
Walz and Harris will help us end this gun violence nightmare, empowering law enforcement and passing common sense gun reform.

This is our path forward. We can stop worrying about our politicians and begin to elect leaders who are working for us and get things done. And as a former teacher myself, it’s nice to see a teacher in this role.
